  • Don’t be sucked in

I know the futures are up, NASDAQ and DJI and S&P, all higher.  I don’t actually see this bringing up all stocks, in fact I see a lot of stocks that aren’t going up as you would think that they would.  Something isn’t right here.

  • I’m making account changes

I’ve decided that there isn’t enough risk with just options, so I’m going to be adding functionality to trade things like futures (DJI, grains, etc…).  This should add some more fun and increase the likelihood that I’ll lose money.

  • Escape and an exit

There’s a difference in terminology throughout different industries and professions.  I usually choose my words carefully when speaking with people because I know that the incorrect word could cause people to whine and bitch.

  • EOD +$0

I’m sure that you have noticed I haven’t been making any trades.  I’m just holding on the losers that I’ve chosen.  Actually, I’m ahead of the stockmarket game entirely and waiting for my positions to turn into profit (though some are going the wrong flippin’ way).

  • EOD +$0

Ya, another slow day regarding trading for me.  One would think that with the puts I’m holding I would be more excited about the DJI dropping over 200 points, the NASD down over 42 points.  Guess I’m hard to please.

  • SHLD put bought, drop expected

SHLD put bought, drop expectedAlright, I decided that since the market is down (as I correctly predicted this morning, when the market was up) I would buy a put in SHLD, showing that I believe the stock will drop.  Of course, since I started writing this post, the stock is up a little bit from my entrance.

target-symbol.png“The race is not to the swift, nor a battle to the strong..”  I heard that quote back in high school (like 95 years ago).  The teacher that told the class that quote was known for being drunk.  He finished the quote by saying “.. but that’s the way to bet.”

  • Wednesday morning

First, a reminder to myself: don’t hold RIMM put through RIMM earnings on Thursday.  OK, now onto the day’s predictions or guesses or incorrect thoughts.

  • RIMM like rain drops

This morning the market started in the positive territory area, but the drop into the red was unavoidable.  As I watched the AAPL puts go into my target area of over $2.00 per put, I contemplated selling.  Is there more room to drop though?

  • Bounce time

The market dropped yesterday.  Fed cut 25 points, apparently the traders thought that it wasn’t enough.  Traders are a wild bunch, so watching the action was almost as much fun as watching my AAPL position gain $625 profit.  I didn’t close my position, yet, though.
