  • JCP good and JCP bad

JCP good and JCP badLet me first say that trying to deal with the time difference isn’t so bad, I just have to think about the stock market in terms of being the opposite AM to PM as Hong Kong, then an hour less than what I see on the HK clocks.

  • I’m making account changes

I’ve decided that there isn’t enough risk with just options, so I’m going to be adding functionality to trade things like futures (DJI, grains, etc…).  This should add some more fun and increase the likelihood that I’ll lose money.

  • The art of the coin flip

The art of the coin flipSince I’m just talking to myself mostly (though my co-worker is subjected to my ramblings too) I figured that I would allow a United States quarter to decide my trade.  Yes, I’m really that much of a retard.  I flipped a coin to decide to buy calls or puts, risked about 90% of my account total, and than let Bernanke do the heavy lifting.

  • All cash and nowhere to go

All cash and nowhere to goI guess the readership to this blog isn’t enough yet.  Yet.  I put out a post earlier today about how I would buy puts in some stock that someone recommended.  No recommendation.  Looks like I’ll have to close my eyes and just point to a stock to buy puts on myself.

  • Out C for $150 profit

Out C for $150 profitI took the slight up on C (Citigroup) and sold my calls and made a little profit.  Nothing to be bragging about, but again, any win is better than a loss.  This was a quick 32% profit, I wish I could do this everyday.

  • Tell me what to buy

Tell me what to buyI’ve decided that the market is going to be down today, so whatever someone tells me to buy puts in I’m going to do it.  I’ll wait until 10:00 am EST in order to make the buy.  You decide what I buy!

  • FFH isn’t just a spitting noise

ffh-20080109-options.pngFFH (Fairfax Financial Holdings) converted something into something, but it just looks to me like lots of options went out and at pricing that makes me wonder why there’s som much money around and I don’t have an infinitesimal amount of it - yet.

  • The letter C, not just a vitamin

The letter C, not just a vitaminSometimes when I look for an option to buy, I actually think about things that are easy for a retard like myself to remember. In this case, a single letter.  C.  Citigroup is not only a big company, but all the employees hate vegetables, just like me!

  • Goodbye RIO

RIO finally dropped enough for me to make a profit on the stupid put.  One single put, and I had to hold onto it for a gain because losing $12 would have been too much for me to handle.  How stupid.  I followed the pack on that one, but bailed before the pack.

  • Watch for MU

mu-20080109-options-thumb.pngFor those of you interested in trading options and want to know a good idea, it’s to follow the money of the big guys.  I’m going to be following a lot more of the big money until something proves to be unprofitable.
