I’m taking a small vacation. I’ll be leaving within the hour, it’s time for me to go to Vegas and get some gambling going so that I stop gambling with my Chitty position. As of the last time I looked, my account is nearling valueless, so there’s not much to report. I was happy to see the market come down from the DJI up over 100 points to only be up like 25, but still my puts are worthless.

First, the market isn’t going to end the day as positive as it will start it. Just not going to happen. As I write this, the Dow is up 109 125 pre-market, the S&P up 13.30 15.90 and the NADSAQ up over 21.5 24.2. Sure things might go higher, but they won’t end the day higher. The news isn’t available for it. Yesterday the market volume was light, which isn’t an indicator of today’s volume but it will be a heavier traded day. Finally, bad news is everywhere.

This morning I think that the writers at Yahoo!’s financial website will be surprised. Though I’m not necessarily watching the Dow futures or the S&P or NASDAQ, I am watching a few particular stocks, and those stocks will be opening a little lower than they closed yesterday. So when Yahoo! states as one of their headlines that US Stocks Head For Higher Open, is someone being hopeful?
