  • Covered 1,500 BIDU @ $216, GOOG 500 @ $342, profit $10,135

I’m finished. Covered my positions and figured that I should get to work and take care of my job just in case the market doesn’t continue to deliver profits to me (you never know!). The more I trade the more I imagine having the life of a full-time trader.

  • Short 500 GOOG @ $345

GOOG is able to fall a little from where it is. Just like everything else in this market. The crazy action does have me unsure of where things are going so I’ll put a tight stop, maybe a buck or two above my entry. This might not guarantee me flexibility in the direction (I have problems predicting when the stock is moving only in the direction I want).

  • Short 1,500 BIDU @ $222

This is a crazy market and chances are that I’m making the wrong choice in going short, but with BIDU previously up to $228 and now at $222, it seems like a good chance for me to take it for a ride downward. I’m not going to be greedy today, this will only be about making a few dollars per share and escaping while the escaping is smart.

  • Covered 500 BIDU @ $217, profit $4,980

Looks like my BIDU profit was hit before the stop loss. That makes me a winner for today! There were most likely many losers on the day and though I feel bad for anyone that lost money today, if you did what I did, you would have made money. Watch me, I might be a retard but I know how to make a profit. Now with the market ending like it did, tomorrow I’m going to…

  • Short 500 BIDU @ $226

I’m on the wrong side of a deal, but didn’t set my stop at a regular level this time. I’m going to let the race determine when I make a profit of loss. The sway is $10 in either direction. So I shorted BIDU at $226.69 and my stop loss is $236.6 and my pofit taking is set for $216.69. This is just a way to gamble, it’s not based on anything else. I’m playing with the house’s money in my mind…

  • I’m watching but not acting

I figure that everyone that would read this blog would read a lot more intelligent areas for news, so I didn’t see the need to write stuff like the market is under pressure from the bail out crap. I’m watching BIDU come down from a higher amount. Same with lots of other stocks that I am watching. What are you watching?

  • Covered 2,200 BIDU @ $235, profit $26,026

The bottom isn’t in yet, but I’ve made enough on this deal to be quite content and will just pull back and enjoy the victories as they come. I thought about covering a percentage of the position and then covering more later, but that never seems to work out for me. Besides, I just made $26,026 and need to get back to my full-time job…

  • Short 2,200 BIDU @ $247

Alright, jump on now while you can. Or not. I’m gambling over a HALF MILLION DOLLARS on this trade. I just wanted to get into this position as soon as I could. I’m using the majority of my account (with 4:1 margin!) in order to short this many shares. It’s really not a smart move because the weakness isn’t showing in the market or in BIDU, but I just wanted to play a crazy game of trading and sort of pushed this trade.

  • Sold 1,500 BIDU @ $246, profit $11,745

I’m not seeing the climb that I thought I would and actually think that BIDU could wind up turning in on itself and imploding (well, just dropping past my entry point). Even though I do think the market has upward potential today and beyond, I’m not seeing that potential in BIDU so I’m closing my position with some profits and letting time go by.

    More later…
    Buy 1,500 BIDU @ $238.25
    TIGHT STOP!
