Out GOOG a little early
I’ve noticed that I either screw up and hold an option way too long and lose money, or sell early when there’s profits to be taken. This latest GOOG sell is a great example, I gave up over 150% of the possible profit by jumping onto the sell side too early. Maybe I don’t know what I’m doing.
It’s entirely logical that I have no more of an idea how to make money in the stockmarket more than any other blogger. Which, since I’m a Retard, it would make sense that I’m not more knowledgable than the next tim, dick, or harry.
So I’m watching the profits I didn’t get surmount and wonder to myself, maybe I should automate something that takes my inpatience out of the situation.
Sold:
GOOG Mar08 $440 put (GOPOH), 2 @ $23.60
Entered 3/07 @ $20.40, exited 3/10 @ $23.60
16% profit for +$636
stock price entered $430.16
stock price exited $422.57

A profit might be a profit, but a $600 profit isn’t as nice as a $2,000 profit.
