Hong Kong costs me money
I’m currently in Hong Kong. You know, you borrow $5k from someone just a couple times, then lose it in the stock market and ask for another $5k and soon you wind up in a different country.
I had the opportunity to watch the markets from about 5 minutes pre-open until an hour into the trading day. Also I watched the last 10 minutes of the day. Knowing that I favor buying puts over calls and might define myself as a perma-bear over a meandering bull, today was a day I should have been participating in.
Pretty much I’m sad that the AAPL puts that I had are worth much more than I sold them for, but that’s alright, there’s going to be more opportunities to leave money on the table.
I’m still waiting for MBTrading to fix my account situation and transfer the money internally from my old accunt (without futures) to my new account (with futures). Why they couldn’t just add futures function to my account, I have no idea. Perhaps there’s a Microsoft Windows check box that isn’t selectable about an account has been open?
Has anyone traveled recently on a plane where each seat has it’s own crappy in-headrest LCD? There’s something I found interesting on the flight I was on. The StudioCX program that runs all the “on-demand” TV / movies / games on StudioCX is not a Windows application. How do I know? Someone sitting a couple seats over from where I was sitting had their system crash, so it was reset. When it was resetting, I took a couple pictures.

The flight was alright, the food was horrible, and the final outcome is that I’m in Hong Kong.

At least it’s not Mexico.
