EOD $0 or nowhere is somewhere

Today didn’t necessary go my way, but it wasn’t as bad as yesterday.  Instead of holding BIDU for more of a loss, I sold yesterday.  That act saved me like $400, which isn’t a whole lot usually in the trading world, but when you are racing for profits, it means a lot.

This trading Friday seemed fair to me.  Nothing really bad, nothing hyper good. 

FSLR rose nicely (up $17 or 7.8%) but since it took a tumble the last couple days, this is more of a recovery.  Right now the option I have (Jan08 $240 call - HJQAW) hasn’t moved too much.  I bought the option for $22.00 when the stock was $222.31, now the stock is at $235.47, which is 6% higher than my entry.  The option is up 16%, but usually a move like this would make an option move much greater.  Guess I’ll wait until next week when FSLR goes to (.. are you ready for it?  I’m going to give you insight into the future of FSLR) $242 and change by Tuesday.  Yep, that’s inside info that you can be sure I’m going to bet on!

BIDU didn’t make the big move down I was expecting, thankfully I didn’t hold out for it.

FXI is something I watch and thought about entering today on the pullback but didn’t want to try to guess at the bottom.  The nearly opposite of FXI is FXP.  That made a nice move today, which I was unable to get any piece of.

AAPL made new highs, reaching a 52-week high along with an all-time high and maybe, just maybe, the last run in the $190’s that it will be making.  No, I don’t think that it’s going to the $200’s.  I believe AAPL is running out of luck and will start a heavy decline.  I thought AAPL was due for a huge fall and after I read boogster’s thoughts, I was happy that I wasn’t the only one thinking it.

So I’m currently nowhere with my trading ideas, but at least I’m not scared and covering.  Also, being nowhere is somewhere because I know that I’m not some place.

I’ll come up with some more stuff to write about later.  This is good for now.
